Heart of Jasper Board Member Spotlight - Darla Blazey
Meet Heart of Jasper Board Member, Darla Blazey!
Darla enjoys travel, art, history, walking, hiking, gardening, theater, movies, anything IU, and spending time with my family and friends. Her favorite thing to do in downtown Jasper is to visit the galleries at the Thyen Clark Cultural Center, grab a bite to eat or shop the cute shops. She likes to walk around and take in the views of the beautiful historic buildings and look at the window displays and to stop by her husband’s law office to say hello.
When asked what Heart of Jasper means to her, Darla said, “I love the energy and enthusiasm of the Heart of Jasper staff, board, and volunteers. Downtown Jasper has so much to offer residents and visitors. I grew up in Downtown Jasper. My grandma lived on the corner of 9th and Main Streets, and I would walk to the Astra and the library most weekends. Volunteering is meaningful to me because it is a small way that I can give back to the community that provided so much to me. I’m proud to be a part of the team that continues to build a truly wonderful community for all.”
Thanks for all you do, Darla!
