New Business Incentive
Through a Partnership with the Genesis 12 donor, we began a New Business Incentive to attract businesses to open in the downtown district. The Genesis 12 donor has donated $118,000 dollars to 7 recipients!

Flower Planters
The flowers looked AMAZING this year—thanks to Parks and Rec for watering them EVERY week! Now it is on to Christmas Decorations. We will be scheduling a date to remove the flowers and put the Christmas Decorations in the Flower Pots. We would like to have this done before November 10th-just in time for O’Tannebaum Season to kick off!
Alley Enhancement
One of our goals in 2023 is to begin enhancing the alleys-the two next to Chocolate Bliss and the two next to the Astra. The money raised from the Farm 2 Fiesta will go towards the alley projects! The event was a huge success and very fun! Thank you to the donors and the guest who attended the event. If you have any ideas for what you would like to see in the alleys, let us know! We are in the brainstorming/design phase.
Public Art
Through a partnership with JCA, we have received funding for a mural on the South side of Finishing Touches building. The mural is complete and looks great! Stop by Finishing Touches to see it and grab a photo!
Downtown Courthouse Infrastructure and Revitalization Project
We want to support the merchants in every way possible during construction. We will continue to work on this plan as we learn more about the construction process. If you have any suggestions on how we can best support the businesses, please reach out to me! Merchants: Please remind your customers there is free 2-hour parking at the City Hall parking lot. Continue to make your focus on customer service and increase your social media presence with new videos & posts.
